SHE Conference

The aim of the Joyce O. Community annual SHE Conference is to strengthen and Celebrate women in the community. We are so excited and looking forward to SHE Conference and SHE Award 2023. This will take place Friday 10th to Saturday 11th March.

The first ever SHE Conference took place in March 2022. We’re honoured to have great community leaders who attended the 3 days conference and motivate and inspired women in the community. Many women who attended the 3 days conference were empowered and encouraged to be Resilient and become Radiant.

The outcome of the first ever she conference:

The positive outcome and success of the first ever SHE Conference lead to the creation of a quarterly SHE Conference Women’s Forum, as requested by the women who attended the 3 days Conference.This supports the idea that it is a much needed platform.

SHE Conference Women’s Forum is a platform for women to celebrate, while supporting one another. A forum were women can express themselves and air their views on the various issues that are affecting women in the community. Hopefully take this forward to appropriate channel.

The first ever SHE Conference Women’s Forum took place Saturday 27th August 2022. The subject addressed was THE ROLE OF WOMEN IN THE COMMUNITY. Renowned community leaders and seasoned professionals discussed the many facets of this subject and many women were empowered.

The second SHE Conference Women’s Forum took place Saturday 3rd December 2022. The subject discussed was NEW AGE PARENTING. Seasoned professionals and entrepreneurs who are parents discussed the many facets of this theme. It was very impactful, inspiring and meaningful to many women and parents who attended the Forum.

I was invited to a conference in March 2022 and the title was “SHE Conference”. I was happy to attend but at the same time eager and curious to know what it is all about. The host was Pastor Joyce Osayande, CEO & Founder of Joyce O. Community Outreach and Joyce O. Ministries. The Conference was well attended. I have known Pastor Joyce for many years so I had a one to one chat with her to find out reason for the SHE conference and why the title. I was very impressed, for a woman who has gone through many challenges is out to help others, that is quite formidable and I admire her for that sincerity. I was struck by her resilience and openness. She expressed the importance of drawing strength from others, who have gone through similar or other challenges, and was able to overcome their challenges and moved on. It is not unusual for some women to ponder on their bad experience instead of moving on. Pastor Joyce is a successful community leader and her vision was demonstrated at the SHE Conference where she used her experience to inspire and support other women. There were speakers who contributed to the conference and shared their own stories, and I had the opportunity to share my story as well. We all believe that not only should stories be shared, but also stressed the importance of celebrating not just role models, but also our daily achievement or even sticking to one’s plan should be celebrated. I was delighted to be named the Ambassadors of SHE Conference as ‘A Woman of Positive Influence ‘meanwhile I do believe that we are all driven to move forward and succeed. However we must make room for failure as this creates a pathway for new solutions, build resilience and strengthen your resourcefulness. Following your heart and connecting within are the main driving forces that will enable you to find your purpose. Finally, I wish to thank Pastor Joyce O. for creating this platform.

Thank you Pastor Joyce Osayande for awarding me SHE Conference women of positive influence 2022. This first ever SHE conference was well attended and there was the opportunity to listen, learn and become effective. Every speaker gave sound advice on various issues affecting the role of women ranging from marriage issues, parenting and various forms of trauma experienced particularly by women. The speakers empathised with women and the challenges that they face on a daily basis especially in todays modern world. The aim of the conference to motivate and enhance women did justice to this aim. We all went away happy, excited and rearing to face our challenges ahead better informed with renewed knowledge.
